PGA Professionals
The Chichester Golf Academy is staffed by a team of top PGA-trained professionals. They offer a wide range of expert tutelage and advice of the highest quality, distinguished by their individual teaching styles.
James Wilmott (Teaching Professional)
James was initially a self taught golfer, who started to excel after entering the PGA programme. A connoisseur of the golf swing and particular admirer of Faldo and Nicklaus, James has worked with a wide range of golfers from beginners to budding tour players.
James is passionate about golf and draws on his own experiences and qualification in helping established club golfers, beginners and juniors with their golf. His friendly approach to tuition has earned him plaudits from many quarters, as reflected in his ability to get the best from his students.
Nick George (PGA Trainee)
Nick is originally from London, he took up golf at the age of seven and progressed quickly through the amateur ranks turning professional from a handicap of one. He enjoyed many successes in amateur tournament golf, and played for the Surrey County team. He spent six months in South Africa where he practiced and played golf full time. He had lessons with Mark McNulty’s coach and came third in a SA golf competition in Cape Town.
So far in his career he has enjoyed two holes in one and two Albatrosses. He has a keen interest for both the technical and mental side of the game and his ultimate ambition is to coach top players. Away from golf Nick likes to play football and tennis.
Nick has passed his year two coaching exams, and has one more year until he is a fully qualified coach. He currently runs our junior Golf Academy and junior section, and teaches over 70 juniors per week.
