Junior Section

At Chichester Golf Club we have the largest Junior membership section in the country. There are regular monthly competitions and some juniors are selected to play matches against other clubs and other sections. Currently some of our Juniors are competing in the West Sussex League and juniors with lower handicaps can compete in the Mens Competitions.

We also hold regular junior teaching sessions at the Golf Academy and all through the summer holidays there will be a wide variety of golf schools for juniors to attend - please see our Junior Academy section of the Golf Academy website for more information and prices.

Our 2 dedicated Junior Organisers here at the Club are Sean Johnson and Nick George, who will be happy to arrange to get you involved in matches and competitions and also help to get you a handicap if you do not have one already - just call either of our pro-shops 01243 528999/533833.

Junior Events:

Monthly Tower 12 Hole Competition (Handicap 29-54) - Last Sunday of every month at 5pm - Speak to Nick George to enter

Monthly Mug 18 Hole Competition (Handicap 28 & under) - See fixtures diary for dates - Speak to Sean Johnson to enter

Competency Assesments:

All new juniors joining the club as members are required to take a competency assesment to show that they have the etiquette and basic knowledge to play on our 2 18 hole courses, all juniors will receive a certificate to show they have passed. These assesments are held by Nick George on the last Sunday of every month between 3 & 5 pm at the Golf Academy.
