You can see an overview map and introduction to each hole by clicking on the bars below.

Hole 1

tc01A straight-forward par 3 to a wide shallow green. Two bunkers in front of the green will catch anything short, with mounds at the back providing some protection from the nearby trees. A good hole to get you into the swing.

Hole 2

tc01One of the shorter par 5's for the ladies but a par 4 for the men. Your tee shot should favour the right side of the fairway, aimed toward the fairway traps on the right side. From the back tees, the traps are 270 yards and thus out of play for all but the biggest hitters. There is no sand on the approach to the green which affords a gentle approach.

Hole 3

Hole 3A beautiful par 3 over water with a generous landing area in front of the green and a green-side bunker to the right. Other than the trap, there is not a lot of danger to the front and left of the green, but an over-clubbed tee shot may find the Rife to the rear of the green.

Hole 4

tc04A short par 4 at just 310 yards and an opportunity for birdie. Your tee must be straight with accuracy rather than distance being the key. A miss to the left will be in the rough or the Rife. Favouring the right side of the fairway will open up the green and take the left hand green-side trap out of play, providing a chance to run the ball up to the green.

Hole 5

Hole 5The shortest par 5 for the men at 444 yards and a 341 yard par 4 for the ladies. The tee shot is key on this hole, with the water being somewhat intimidating. However, any bale out shot to the right will be in the trap, so take your courage and fire your tee shot down the middle. A good second will put you close to green-side and an opportunity for a chip and putt for birdie.

Hole 6

Hole 6Another very playable par 5, which is the longest par 5 on the course for the ladies and provides an opportunity to break out the driver. A trap up the left side of the fairway is just within reach and anything to the right will be in a series of mounds, where a flat lie is rare. The approach to the two tiered green is unobstructed by traps but pay particular attention to club selection as this green is 38 yards long and pin placement will make all the difference.

Hole 7

Hole 7This a good driving hole, where a well hit tee shot will open the hole up and afford an easier approach. To get a good view of the green a tee shot needs to be over 200 yards, with a longer drive opening up the hole more and taking the green-side trap out of play. Out of bounds and tall poplars to the right will discourage all but the bold and insane from trying to cut the corner of the dog-leg.

Hole 8

tc08A par 3 to really test your mettle measuring 219 yards from the back tees. The ladies get to play the hole as a 213 yard par 4, but the tee shot is no less fearsome. A pond runs for the first 100 yards of the hole, followed by trees to the right, which naturally directs play toward the left side. The ideal tee shot is hit left to right, starting aimed at the trap, where you will finish if your fade deserts you!

Hole 9

Hole 9The longest par 4 on the course, which is played as a par 5 for the ladies. The natural line of attack to shorten the hole is down the left hand side, but if you try to bite off too much you could find yourself in the trees. A much safer line is down the right, taking the left side fairway trap out of play and opening up the hole. A generous, unbunkered green affords the option to run the ball onto the green.

Hole 10

Hole 10Played as a par 5 for the ladies, this 400 yard par 4 requires two good strikes to reach the green in regulation. The fairway traps up the left are out of range off the tee for all but the biggest hitters, and favouring the right side of the fairway, will open up the green and avoid an encounter with the left green-side trap.

Hole 11

tc11A chance to 'grip it and rip it' and really attack this 419 yard par 4. The left side of the fairway is mounded and if you stray that way, a good lie may be hard to come by, but there is plenty of space on this hole, with the left side being the preferred route. The green is the most difficult aspect of this hole, with a lower left side tier affording the easier pin placement. Pay particular attention to pin placement, as this green is 40 yards long.

Hole 12

Hole 12A strategic par 5 which at 520 and 499 yards respectively for men and women is the longest hole on the course. The temptation to pull out the driver should be tempered by the out of bounds to your left and the fact the green is easily reachable in regulation. Instead, consider a 3 wood for accuracy and then lay up your second shot to just short of the path, which crosses the fairway 100 yards from the green.

The trees either side of the fairway, bordering the path narrow the fairway considerably and a lay-up short of this opening will ensure you have a shot and leave you with 135 yards to the green.

Hole 13

Hole 13At 280 yards, one of the shorter par 4's on the course and a good birdie opportunity. Play your tee shot for accuracy rather than length, steering clear of the out of bounds but favouring the left side of the fairway. The green is long and well bunkered, with a front pin placement being the most difficult. Taking enough club to put the ball in the middle and widest part of the green will take the traps out of play, regardless of the pin placement.

Hole 14

Hole 14A long par 3 at 198 yards, with a trap guarding the front right edge. The 30 yard green is wider toward the rear and a solidly hit tee shot should not bring the trap into play unless the pin is at the front edge.

Hole 15

Hole 15A well placed tee shot on this par 4 will leave a short iron into the open green. The green-sides fall away quite quickly, so accuracy on the approach in important. Keeping the ball in play here is more important that distance and don’t rule out a bump and run approach which is an easy way into the green.

Hole 16

Hole 16This is one of the remodeled holes on the Tower course, providing a challenging drive and an approach to a well bunkered green. The fairway narrows considerably 200 yards off the tee with trees on the right hand side, which can block out your second shot. Either put the ball past this area, where the fairway opens up, or lay up with a mid iron and leave yourself 150 yards to the pin. The green is 40 yards long, so pay attention to pin placement.

Hole 17

Hole 16Not a hole for the faint hearted, with the landing area starting 210 yards off the tee having water to the left and right. At 462 yards, it is not a long par 5, so a 200 yard tee shot will be short of the water with an iron second putting you in chip and putt range and taking the two front, green-side traps out of play. While its tempting to go for the green in two, do so at your peril!

Hole 18

Hole 18The easiest hole on the course is a good finishing hole with a good chance to make birdie. The out of bounds to your left should only be a problem for the most wayward tee shot, and a well placed iron off the tee will set up your approach. If you want to try and finish your round with a bang, take out the driver and go for the unbunkered green. The mounding either side can provide a tricky lie if you are a little wayward.
